Visual Inspection:
- Remove the fuse and inspect it for visible signs of damage. A burnt fuse will typically have a broken or melted wire inside or dark burn marks.
-
Test with a Multimeter:
- Set the multimeter to the continuity or resistance setting.
- Place the probes on both ends of the fuse.
- If the multimeter reads zero or close to zero resistance, the fuse is good. If it shows infinite resistance or no continuity, the fuse is burnt out.
-
Replace and Test:
- If you're uncertain, replace the fuse with a new one of the same rating and see if the pump operates correctly.
